About Us
Since 1999, the Recycling Coalition of WV, Inc. has been advocating recycling and West Virginians to make purchasing decisions based on recycled content or the ability to recycle the material once the product has completed its useful life. We coordinate annual programs like the ReFashion Show, give prizes for participants who sign a pledge to support recycling, sponsor youth contests, provide teacher lesson plans on trash and recycling.
The Recycling Coalition of West Virginia is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) environmental organization whose mission is to promote the effective and sustainable reduction, reuse and recycling of materials otherwise destined for disposal. These goals are pursued through the promotion of purchasing products made with recycled content material; by coordinating and facilitating activities relative to recycling; and by fostering communications among organizations, government agencies and individuals through the sharing of ideas through educational outreach.
